Stallergenes allergy products became unavailable in Australia
and worldwide in August 2015
Deliveries of allergy extracts ceased abruptly and although the Australian branch of the French manufacturers Stallergenes initially claimed they had no knowledge of why supplies had stopped the usual customer service staff soon disappeared and replacement staff were unable to provide any further advice about the failure of deliveries
Throughout October, November and December frequent enquiries elicited no new information. On 23 December 2015 staff finally admitted production of extracts in France had ceased and it was not known if or when it would recommence
Here are some internet links about the situation :-

There are other manufacturers of allergy extracts but Stallergenes was the only manufacturer to have undergone
the rigorous process of gaining TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) approval for the use of their extracts in Australia
There is a complex procedure for importing "non-approved" products for use in Australia which involves considerable paperwork plus many conditions and limitations
I had provided allergy treatment to patients in Victoria and interstate for more than 40 years. Being able to supply extracts is the most essential part of my work. Because of the significant fixed overhead costs of maintaining my consulting rooms in three clinics I could not continue to do so without a reliable supply of extracts
With great regret I ceased practicing in Melbourne at the end of March 2016 and moved to a friend's rural property in NSW
In 2016 Stallergenes French website was announcing that production of some of their product lines had resumed
~ GRADUAL RESUMPTION OF MANUFACTURING AT STALLERGENES PLANT IN FRANCE ~
For more than eight years the Australian Stallergenes representatives have been advising the TGA that supplies would be returning to normal
however currently there are still no Stallergenes extracts available in Australia
A press release from several years ago was certainly not very encouraging -
~ French Health regulators have put further stops on STALLERGENES manufacturing in France ~
and since then Stallergenes has been taken over, privatised and removed from the stock market altogether

Update 2026
Stallergenes has advised some extracts are now available. So far I have not tried these as adequate supplies of other manufacturer's
extracts are currently being used
